Document Your Daily Routine

Don't forget to include weekends and family time (this is most important). 

After completing this exercise you should have a good visual of what your work week looks like. You should see openings in your week. Make your goal easy: try to find two hours you can commit to spend on your business. You should be able to re-prioritize some time.

As we all know life also throws us off schedule. Try your best to embrace that fact instead of fighting it. If your child stays up late, focus on helping your child quiet down and go to sleep. Try not to focus on what you could be doing. Don't worry. The work will still be there when you are ready.

If you have to stay late at your day job, then choose to work late. Usually, you'll find that it is better just to focus on one thing at a time. You'll be more efficient and effective. Having a clear and guilt free mind while working on your business is most productive.

When I first started my main website many years ago, little did I know the major role Google would play in its success. Keep in mind, Google has only been around the web since 1998. In the beginning, few realized the small search engine created by Stanford students Larry Page and Sergey Brin, would become a multi-billion dollar company controlling almost all areas of the web.

Google seems destined to dominate the web (aka Shades of Big Brother) for years to come... keeping a close eye on all our Internet activity with large databases tracking our every (abiet aggregate) move. And it is not just the web, Google is branching out in so many directions, it will play a major role in our daily lives off-line as well as online.

As a webmaster you must take full advantage of what Google offers or face an uphill battle. As an online marketer it would be just as unwise not to explore all avenues of this gentle giant.

Google Adsense
I use Google Adsense code on all my webpages... visitors click on these targeted Adsense ads and I earn a small percentage of the ad revenue.

I also earn by marketing three Google Referral Products through the Adsense program:

Adsense Referral
I get $100 for each referral I make to Google, as long as that referral joins Adsense and earns at least $100.

Google Firefox Bar
I earn $1 for each referral that downloads the Firefox Browser and then uses the Google Search Bar. Might not sound like much, but this quickly adds up.

Adwords Referral
Google will pay me $20 for each Adwords referral that spends $100 on Adwords advertising within 90 days. Another good revenue stream.

Granted, Google is no way as generous as most of my other affiliate programs I promote with my sites but Google is an Easy Sell!  Running an online business, like any other business out there, is subject to certain principles, even laws by which all of us can make an enterprise prosper - or wither and die. Obstacles are everywhere and it sometimes seems that the only possible outcome is failure. There is no need to worry, however. I am going to name the three and a half principles for online success and try to show you the benefits of consistent, persistent and determined action that delivers success, not as a destination, but as a direction you choose.

1. The principle of intention

 This principle states that, be it in online marketing or anywhere else, nothing will manifest without intention. You must first choose to manifest a certain result or outcome before it can transpire. Ask yourself what it is that you want, how much money do you want to earn, what kind of a relationship would you like to experience, etc. Once you've decided what it is that you want (this is important, never think of things you do not want), proceed to the second principle.

2. The principle of attention

 This is the harder step as you can imagine. Placing attention on the things that can empower you and your business is very important because, as I have witnessed in my own life and career, the difference between those who have succeeded in any enterprise, made a fortune online or built a phenomenal relationship and those who have failed miserably in any venture is that they have placed attention on different things. The first focused their attention on improving, perfecting and learning from mistakes. The ones who failed miserably failed at improving, perfecting and learning from mistakes. The successful ones placed their attention on those things that brought them a reason to continue. Those that failed focused and gave attention to things that showed them only failure. Guess what they got. It's natural to be scared, to lose hope, but it is not natural to remain scared and hopeless. As I have said, obstacles are everywhere, your job is to make mistakes, to learn from them and to grow. Focus all of your attention on the things that you can use to succeed and I guarantee, you will! Nurture the spirit of correctly focused attention and life, not just your business, will start to blossom.

 This is powerful, trust me. You must first give to receive and you can easily prove this simple, but effective principle. This looks good but is it really better than paid advertising?  I would say yes and there are several reasons for this.  First of all it is FREE.  Second, it's viral.  Take a look at this scenario.  If you post an article on a couple article directories and only 10 people decide to use it in their newsletter.  Each of these people has 2,000 people on their list.  This advertises your site to 20,000 people.  Now imagine if 100 people used your article or if they had 20,000 people each on their list.  This stuff is powerful.  Third, it establishes you as an expert in that field.  People will trust you more and will be more willing to by your product if you've already given them useful information.  Forth, after you've written a lot of article you can compile them into your own ebook and give it away for free (with links to your site of course) or sell it.  Paid advertising doesn't even compare to this.  Don't waste any more time.  Start writing articles now!
